The first room that comes to our minds when we think about decorating our homes is the drawing room. The drawing room is strategic because it is the first room that a casual visitor sees when he/ she comes to visit and as they have said over the ages, the first impression is, more often than not, the best impression. So it would be advisable to go with an elegant look, with not much space devoted to eccentricities. The next room in the list is the kitchen, the work station of the house. While redecoration the kitchen, practicality should be the priority and not the artistic beauty. It is so because the kitchen is virtually the workshop of the house. Clumsy objects of artistic value would only obstruct the work going on in the kitchen and not help in any way. Next and the most personal of spaces is the bedroom. It is while decorating the bedrooms that we can use our artistic vision to the most with ample scope for all our whims and fancies, be it purple sheets for the bed or painting above the bed.
